Tumblr is hard
Now that I am working again, and a lot (woohoo!) I find it difficult to post on most social networking sites. If the app for my phone wasn’t such a glitch monster it might be easier. I also unfollowed a couple feeds which were just clogging up the works for me. I love the wacky artwork but I thought the whole point was seeing what my friends had to say and what wacky artwork they liked. Maybe I will be able to update a little more knowing that when I check the dashboard I won’t feel like I am walking through swamplands. I hope I can come up with something not insanely boring to write about.
Currently I am mildly disturbed with germs. I saw “Contagion” which was several levels of paranoia inducing. Of course when I get into work everybody (including me) is sick. So I’ve been obsessively cleaning and lysoling the entire store so that our individual illnesses don’t somehow evolve and make a disgusting headache mutant snot disease. I don’t think we need that. God forbid what customers and their children may have to add to that mix. So I’ve been a germaphobe for a week or so.
Besides, nothing is better than a clean store! No sarcasm there, I love cleaning any place I work at. I think places of business should be ridiculously clean otherwise the customers start getting skeezed out and stop coming to the store unless they HAVE TO. That’s no fun for anybody!
Or I might have OCD.

more baby ranting
I find the only safe place to say anything contrary about babies is Tumblr. I wonder why?
This rant is dedicated to no longer being yourself because you now have spawned.
I have a few friends that do nothing but post about their babies. Literally, nothing. These are people who had lives and thoughts and feelings before having a baby. Now every single thing that spews forth from their mouths is their desperate love for their new child.
I understand, the bond between a baby and the parents is something deep and mysterious that I won’t know until I have tortured my body for something similar. But I am in strong belief that YOU ARE IN THERE SOMEWHERE! It’s cool, you have a baby, I get it, but good freakin christ what happened to you? I don’t even want to be friends with you anymore because you talk about nothing else!
This is made worse by my other friends who have also had babies and are totally reasonable about it. They are clearly proud of their youngblood and show them off, but they also talk about other things. They have a sense of humor about being a parent and realize that there are other things in life. These are the people I can actually give a crap about. I want to see how their kid is doing. It’s nice when they post a few pics because they don’t obsessively post about their kid!
So with that in mind. If I ever have a baby, beat me, please beat me, if I let this child consume my soul in every way!
